Booking terms and conditions
All bookings are made subject to acceptance of Booking Conditions and Cancellation Policy below.
ARRIVAL is anytime after 3pm. DEPARTURE is strictly by 10am.
Tentative bookings can be held for ONE WEEK, after which a 50% DEPOSIT is required to confirm your reservation. A deposit may be required at the time a booking is made for short notice bookings. Payment in full is required 14 DAYS in advance for all bookings unless alternative arrangements have been made with management. If for any reason payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and apply the appropriate cancellation charges.
**A minimum booking of ONE WEEK applies to CHRISTMAS/JANUARY school holidays.
A $50 cancellation fee applies to ALL cancelled bookings.
Great Ocean Walk Retreat is strictly a non-smoking property. A fee of up to $250 applies to smoking inside. This charge covers the costs associated with removing the cigarette smoke.
A credit card number is required for damage/security purposes. Otway Getaways is authorised to deduct monies to cover the cost of additional/excess cleaning, damages, repairs, replacement of goods, late departures or any other breaches of these terms and conditions. This includes leaving unwashed dishes & smoking inside. Accommodation must be left in a clean and tidy manner removing all rubbish, bottles, food and personal items. If the BBQ is used, it must be cleaned.
If a credit card is not available, a bond is required as security.
Other payment methods: cheque, money order or bank transfer.
A bond may still be required for larger bookings.
Any additional fees will be charged to guests’ credit card upon their departure.
Otway Getaways accepts no responsibility for any inconvenience caused by an appliance breakdown. Otway Getaways will endeavour to repair or replace any faulty appliance as soon as possible. Due to the remote location of Glenaire, same day repairs/replacements may not be possible.
PLEASE NOTE: Small pets can be arranged only by arrangement with the owner and a $20 surcharge will apply.
Travel insurance is recommended, particularly for weekly bookings.

- 21-60 days prior to booking date- 50% of deposit
- Up to 21 days prior to booking date- 100% of deposit
- Within 7 days prior to arrival and thereafter -100% of TOTAL PRICE.
A cancellation fee of 100% of total price applies 30 days prior to Christmas/January & Easter/April school holidays and to public holiday weekends.
